The largest privately owned rental company in the UK today, Scot Group Ltd runs both the Dollar and Thrifty rental brands there.

Nigel Spokes acquired a controlling stake in the business in 1999. To this day, the company is still family-owned, staying true to its origins. The chairman of the board is Roger Hancock, and Martin Wilson is on the current board (Managing Director).

Scot Group has maintained a strategic expansion plan throughout its 50-year existence and presently operates from over 85 locations around the country.
